1. PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CPD COURSES (TERMS & CONDITIONS)
Following terms and conditions are essential to comply by the learners if they enrol with UK Professional Development Academy (UKPDA) and its Partner Institutions:
- Learner will receive the course registration from college within 24 -48 hours
- Access to the Learning Platform is given only after receiving the learner’s course fee (in full, or first instalment).
- After enrolling on the course, a learner will get access to our Learning Platform within 24 hours, and all the study materials and assessments will be available via the Learning Platform.
- The learner can enrol on multiple courses at the same time.
- Course material includes all the essential learning/training material such as Course Units/Modules, Study Manual, Assessments (if require), Quizzes (if require) in PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint format and other useful study links.
- All the courses learning material will be in the form of texts (images/illustrations), and there are no video or live lectures during the course.
- The minimum time period to complete our regulated qualifications is four months (sixteen weeks) and the maximum time period to complete the course is up to twelve months. Learners will have access to their Learning Platform for up to 12 months from the date of enrolment. During this period, flexibility will be given to learners for completing the course at any time.
- The minimum time period to complete our professional development courses is one week to sixteen weeks and maximum time period to complete the course is up to twelve months. Learners will have access to their Learning Platform for up to 12 months from the date of enrolment. During this period, flexibility will be given to learners for completing the course at any time.
- After the completion of the course / course maximum duration (12 months from the date of enrolment) the access to Learning Platform will be terminated without prior notice and for further information/ communication, learners can contact via email.
- Learners are allowed to contact their tutor through their Learning Platform or via emails regarding their studies.
- After the completion, of course, the access to Learning Platform is terminated, and for further information, learners can contact via email.
- In case of course fee payment by Instalment option, learners will need to pay their regular instalments on time, and after three consecutive pending invoices, the students will be suspended from the course.
- UK Professional Development Academy will apply/issue for the Certificate of Completion and learners must clear their pending fees and charges before that.
- If a learner wants to cancel or no longer wish to be on the course, then he/she will be eligible to apply for a refund (Course Cancelation fees, which is £30, will apply once you book the course via our website or 3rd party website(s) and requested for cancellation of course/qualification) within 14 days cooling-off period according to Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 (Only this condition will be applied, if Learner has not logged in to the Learning Platform and accessed the course material or have not communicated with the admin team or online tutor).
- At the time of registration / Course purchase via our website or third party website, learner needs to provide us his/her accurate, complete and current information all the time for Learning Platform account and registration. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the terms and conditions, which may result in immediate termination of your Learning Platform account and registration from the course.
- The Learners data and information is completely protected as per according to the Data Protection Act 1998 & GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation Act May 2018), and it will be used only for the educational purposes.
- Information about the learner and their data will not be provided to another learner for securing his privacy.
- Learners can interact with one another through the student discussion forum.
- Feedback on assessments is not published publically as College provides it directly to learner via its Learning Platform /Moodle
- Certificate will be sent to the learner’s mailing address. Therefore correct personal information is necessary for the students.
- The learner will be asked to provide his/her ID for claiming the certificate. Therefore acceptable photo form of identification is necessary.
- Learner is responsible for protecting the Username & Password that he/she uses to access the Learning Platform and for any activities or actions under your password.
- As per our Learning Platform usages condition, learner is agreed not to disclose his/her password to any third party or any other learner.
- You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorised use of your Learning Platform account.
- You may not use a username of another learner or entity that is not lawfully accessible for your use.
- You explicitly agree that we cannot be held liable for any loss or damage arising out of any falsifications you make in this regard.
- UK Professional Development Academy accepts the payments through; Bank Transfer, Western Union, Paypal and Credit and Debit Card, therefore any other mode of transferring the payments will not be accepted, and College will not be responsible for that.
- Learner needs to pay for the certificate plus postal charges at the time of certificate claim.
- Certificate fee is non-refundable.
- Course fee includes the accreditation fee and postal charges. Therefore, learners are not required to pay extra charges (This condition does not apply to the course purchased from UKPDA on discount price or any third party website, where UK Professional Development Academy may have advertised the courses on discounted price).
- There is no need for previous qualifications or prior knowledge for UKPDA’s professional courses, and anyone can enrol onto the courses.
- Basic knowledge of English language and ICT is the requirement for enrolment on course.
- There is no age restriction for the courses, as courses are open to any learner with age over 16+ years old can apply for the course. Learners less than 16+ years old will not be eligible for the Certificates.
- UK Professional Development Academy’s Administration will contact its learners through their own official email address and official social media pages, therefore, the college will not be responsible for any other conspiracy made on the name of UK Professional Development Academy.
- Our Campus based-study programs are also available, but those programs are for the learners residing in the UK while our online and distance learning programs are open to international students.
- Learners are allowed to switch their course to another one before taking a second unit and assessment. After taking the second unit and assessment students will not be eligible to switch the course.
- Learner must notify/report within 24 hours of accessing the learning material if there is any efficiencies or inaccuracies in the course material. Complaints regarding efficiencies or inaccuracies will not be accepted after this time.
- Necessary updates will be made with the high standard learning material. If UKPDA is unable to provide learning material, a full refund will be given.
- Complaints can be made through email to UKPDA’s Administration and these complaints will be addressed within 24 hours.
- For assignment based courses: Access to the next unit/module will be given after grading of the first assignment and grading takes seven working days.
- For Multiple Choice Quiz based courses: Learn need to email admissions for access to the next module on passing the currently enrolled module.
- Online tutor/accessor is responsible for providing the feedback and result to learners within seven working days.
- For access to the next module for the quiz based courses. Learn need to email admissions for access to the next unit on successfully passing the final test.
- UK Professional Development Academy is not liable or responsible for any failure or disturbance in performance caused due to Force Majeure Event.
- Delay in assignment grading process can only be caused due to technical issues, in such case learners will be informed via email.
- UK Professional Development Academy reserve the right to change Awarding Bodies or Partners Institution during the period of enrolment and certification for Course, this is obligatory. In the case of Awarding Bodies or Partners Intuitions change, certification will remain at the same level as the one definite at the time of the purchase of the course (from our college website or from third party website ‘where we advertise our courses’) will be received by Learner.
- UK Professional Development Academy reserves the right to refuse a refund, not entitled to continue studies (termination of registration), receive any certification in the case of any breach of terms and conditions without prior notice.
2. OFQUAL REGULATED QUALIFICATIONS (TERMS & CONDITIONS)
Following terms and conditions are essential to comply by the learners if they enrol with UK Professional Development Academy (UKPDA) and its partner Institutions:
- Learner will receive the course registration from college within 24 -48 hours. In the case you have not received requirements for registration, contact UKPDA via email.
- After fulfilling the requirements for registration, learner will receive the course registration & login details for an online Learning Platform from UKPDA within 24 hours. In the case, you have not received course login details, contact UKPDA via email.
- Access to the Learning Platform is given only after receiving the learner’s course fee (in full, or first instalment).
- In case of qualifications fee payment by Instalment option, learners will need to pay their regular instalments on time, and after 3 days of pending invoices, the learners will be suspended from the course.
- There will be £20 fee for activation the account in the case leaner suspended due to non-payment of instalment.
- The learner can enrol into the multiple courses at the same time.
- If the learner wishes to apply for the exemption from any module based on Recognition of Prior Certificated Learning or Experiential Learning. Learners must apply by filling out the RPL form along with evidence.
- A final decision on exemption//Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is subject to the awarding body’s EQA approval or not approval.
- UKPDA will not forward or assess any exemption/Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) if the tuition fee/instalments fee is due.
- Learner needs to clear the due balance before assessment of the RPL form assessment.
- Course material includes all the essential learning/training material such as Course Units/Module, Study Manual, Assessments (if require), Quizzes (if require) in PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint format and other useful study links.
- All the courses learning material will be in the form of texts (images/illustrations), and there are no video or live lectures during the course.
- The minimum time period to complete UKPDA Ofqual Qualification is 4 to 6 months, and a maximum period to complete the course is up to twelve months. Learners will have access to VLE/Moodle up to 12 months from the date of enrolment. During this period, flexibility will be given to learners for completing the course at any time. After 12 months, the leaner need to pay (awarding body registration fee + assessments marking fee of £350) in any circumstance one time only.
- In the case learner is unable to complete the qualifications with provided qualifications completion extension, he/she need to register for the qualifications by paying the full fee.
- After the completion of the course / courses maximum duration (12 months from the date of enrolment) the access to Learning Platform will be terminated without prior notice and for further information/ communication, learners can contact via email.
- UKPDA may extend the period up to six months with extra charges £350 (awarding body registration fee + assessments marking fee) (if the learner has shown his/her progress, i.e., submitted assignments). A learner can contact the UKPDA for further information. Please be informed that UKPDA reserves the right to grant extensions to the course duration.
- There are mandatory and optional units for this qualification. All units cover a number of topics relating to learning outcomes and credit hours.
- The assessment method for Ofqual Qualifications is assignments/report writing.
- Hardcopy of Certificate will be delivered to Learner address within 20 – 25 working days (Local) & 6 to 8 weeks (International) after final receiving from the awarding Organisations.
- Learners are allowed to contact their tutor through their Learning Platform or via emails regarding their studies.
- After the completion, of course, the access to Learning Platform is terminated, and for further information, learners can contact via email.
- If a learner wants to cancel or no longer wish to be on the course, then he/she will be eligible to apply for refund (Excluding registration and Process Charges £60) within 14 days cooling off period according to Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 (Only this condition will be applied, if Learner has not logged in to the Learning Platform and accessed the course material or have not communicated with the admin team or online tutor).
- At the time of registration / Course purchase via our website or third-party website, learner needs to provide us his/her accurate, complete and current information all the time for Learning Platform account and registration. When an assessment criteria is met, it will be graded ‘Pass’. If there is further evidence required, it will be graded ‘referred or fail’, and your assessor will give feedback as to how you can meet the criteria. You can resubmit an assignment 2nd time if need to. If refer in 3rd and final attempt, there will be assessment fee £30/module to pay.
