The objective of the Qualifi Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business Management qualification is to provide learners with a specialist work-related programme of study that provides a depth of knowledge and understanding of key aspects within the business sector. Learners will study level 4 and 5 business management, worth 120 credits per academic year with a total credit value of 240 credits (equivalent to the first 2 years of an honours degree). All units are mandatory.
The Level 4 units lay the foundations of learning by introducing contemporary Business topics. The units combine theoretical and practical knowledge in the profession and will develop and enhance knowledge and skills in the areas of academic and research skills, business and global operations, finance and accounting, communication, leadership and team working.
The Level 5 units allow learners to apply key skills and techniques in various relevant occupational areas. The programme of study allows learners to engage with the challenges facing managers, professionals and policymakers in their own country. Learners will develop and enhance knowledge and skills in business strategy, human resources, marketing, business law, management accounting and decision-making and understand the requirements for starting a new business.
This qualification will equip learners with specialist skills and technical terminology to develop their business and management skills and progress to further study or employment.
The Qualifi Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business Management is equivalent to a university degree’s first and second years. Learners will study level 4 and 5 units worth 120 credits per academic year with a total credit value of 240.
Qualifi Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business Management represents practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competencies assessed in academic terms as equivalent to Higher National Diplomas (HND) and Year 2 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree programme.

REQUIREMENTS
This Qualifi Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business Management has been designed to be accessible without artificial barriers restricting access and progression. For entry to the accountancy training course, learners will be expected to hold the following:

- Relevant Level 3 Diploma qualification or equivalent qualification
- GCE Advanced level in 2 subjects or equivalent qualification
- Mature learners with relevant management experience
- Learners wishing to study and are non-native English speakers must have a minimum level of English language competency*.

ASSESSMENT
All units are internally assessed by UKPDA and externally verified by Qualifi Ltd. The qualifications are criterion referenced based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes.
To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria.
The Assessor judges that the learners have successfully fulfilled the assessment criteria.
Who is this Course for?
Successful completion of the Qualifi Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business Management provides learners with the opportunity for various academic progressions, including the Qualifi Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business Management qualification. As this qualification is approved and regulated by Ofqual, learners can gain direct entry into Year 3 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree programme.
ACCREDITATION
Duration
The minimum time to complete this Qualification is 6 Months. Learners will have access to their Qualification via the Learning Platform for up to 12 months from the date of enrolment. During this period, flexibility will be given to learners to complete the course at any time between 6 months to 12 months.
CERTIFICATION
Upon successfully passing the qualification, the learner will get an Ofqual Regulated Certificate (Hardcopy) from Qualifi Ltd, an Ofqual Regulated Awarding Organisation.
