On successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

COURSE OUTLINE
The Qualifi Level 5 Diploma in Early learning and Childcare has 10 units in total. Learners must complete all mandatory units to achieve 96 credits and then choose a minimum of 24 credits from the optional units. A minimum of 120 credits must be achieved and 100 hours of teaching practice.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifi Level 5 Diploma in Early Learning and Childcare is designed for learners aged 18 and above. The entry profile for learners is likely to include at least one of the following:
- Qualifications at Level 3 and/or 4;
- work experience at a managerial level in child care and demonstrate ambition with clear career goals;
- Learners who possess a first degree in another discipline and want to develop their careers in Early Year Education and Child Care.
- Good understanding of ICT
- Learners wishing to study and are non-native English speakers must have a minimum level of English language competency*
- Sufficient capability at the right level to undertake the learning and assessment criteria
ASSESSMENT
After studying the course material, the Learner will have to attempt the Final Assignment(s) for each Module. The Assignment Brief containing the different questions will be available on the VLE / Learning Platform. UKPD Academy’s Assessor will assess you. A range of assessment methods may be used. When an assessment criteria is met, it will be graded ‘Pass’. If further evidence is required, it will be graded ‘referred or fail’, and your assessor will give feedback on how you can meet the criteria. You can resubmit an assignment as many times as you need to. All written report(s) / assessments (s) are online and can be taken either during or after the course; they are included in the course price.
Who is this Course for?
The aim of this course is to support leadership and management skills in early years and the knowledge and skills relating to early years practice. It is also suitable for those individuals already working in early years sectors in a managerial role and those individuals who wish to develop their career or enhance their understanding through professional development. Individuals undertaking this qualification would be working in various job roles such as manager, deputy manager, supervisor or leader in designated areas.

The minimum time to complete this Qualification is 6 Months. Learners will have access to their Qualification via the Learning Platform for up to 12 months from the date of enrolment. During this period, flexibility will be given to learners to complete the course at any time between 6 months to 12 months.
