Overview
The Level 2 Diploma in Care aims to confirm occupational competence for Adult Care Workers or Healthcare Support Workers. This qualification is vocationally based and allows learners to demonstrate their knowledge, understanding and practical skills required to be an Adult Care Worker in an adult care setting or a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or Personal Assistant in a healthcare support environment.
At Level 2, the UK sector skills council decided there would be a common qualification for health and adult care settings. There will be no barrier to entering adult care or health workforces.
The Qualifi Level 2 Diploma in Care is suitable for learners working in a wide range of roles in a health and adult care settings. The qualification develops competence therefore learners must be in paid or voluntary work to enable assessment to take place.
The content of the qualification links with the knowledge and skills required for the Apprenticeship Standards ‘Adult Care Worker’ and ‘Healthcare Support Worker’. The content is applicable to a variety of roles, examples of which are included below:
- Adult care worker
- Healthcare assistant/support worker
- Personal assistant.

COURSE OUTLINE
The QUALIFI Diploma in Care is a level 2 qualification comprising 46 credits. The qualification consists of 9 mandatory and 6 optional units.
All units cover several topics relating to learning outcomes, and a minimum of 46 credits must be achieved to gain the Level 2 Diploma in Care. It includes a minimum of 460 hours TQT.

REQUIREMENTS
For Qualifi Level 2 Diploma in Care, learners must fulfil the following requirements:
- Solid knowledge of the English Language
- Be age 16 years or above
- Good understanding of ICT
- Sufficient capability at the right level to undertake the learning and assessment criteria.
ASSESSMENT
After successful enrolment, the learner will get access to the Learning Platform, where the training material is available. The training is in PDF and MS Word format, and each module has many Lectures and Learning Outcomes.
Each unit is assessed by almost 1000 – 1500 words written assignment. Some assessments may require preparing the Presentation using any software. The Assignment tasks are explained in the Assignment Brief file with all the necessary guidance. For additional guidance and convenience, Assignment Work Sheet is provided, where the learner can complete different tasks.
When an assessment criterion is met, it will be graded ‘Pass’. If further evidence is required, it will be graded ‘referred or fail’, and your assessor will give feedback on how you can meet the criteria. You can resubmit an assignment as many times as you need to.
All written report(s) / Assessment(s) are online and are taken either through or after the course; these are included in the course price.
Who is this Course for?
The qualification aims to provide learners with the technical skills and knowledge needed to work in the Health and Social Care industry.
It is envisaged that the qualification will encourage academic and professional development so that learners can move forward to realise their own potential and that of organisations across a broad range of sectors.
Achievement of this qualification confirms the learner has gained the knowledge and skills required to:
- gain employment as a Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker or Adult Care Worker/Personal Assistant
- progress onto the Qualifi Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care
- progress onto the Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship.
ACCREDITATION
This Level 2 Diploma in Care has been accredited to the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) and has its unique Qualification Accreditation Number (QAN). This number will appear on the learner’s final certification document. In addition, each unit with the qualification has its RQF code. The QAN for this Qualification is as follows;

What is QUALIFI?
QUALIFI is approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation) with a reference number RN5160. Ofqual is responsible for maintaining standards and confidence in a wide range of vocational qualifications, whereas QUALIFI has a duty of care to implement quality assurance processes.
Duration
The minimum time to complete this Qualification is 6 Months. Learners will have access to their Qualification via the Learning Platform for up to 12 months from the date of enrolment. During this period, flexibility will be given to learners to complete the course at any time between 6 months to 12 months.
CERTIFICATION
Upon successfully passing the qualification, the learner will get an Ofqual Regulated Certificate (Hardcopy) from Qualifi Ltd, an Ofqual Regulated Awarding Organisation.
