Assessment for the ATHE Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care is completed through internally assessed assignments, with each unit evaluated against its specified learning outcomes and assessment criteria. Learners may achieve a Pass, Merit, Distinction, or Fail based on the quality of the work submitted and the assessor’s judgement. To achieve higher grades, learners must meet the relevant assessment criteria, with ATHE assignments providing optional extension activities to demonstrate additional evidence where appropriate.

About ATHE awards
ATHE Awards is approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation) with a Recognition Number RN5344. Ofqual is responsible for regulating qualifications and ensuring they meet the required national standards, while ATHE ensures its qualifications are delivered and assessed with proper quality and consistency.
The minimum duration to complete this qualification is 6 months. Learners will have access to the course for up to 12 months from the date of enrolment, allowing flexibility to study and complete assessments at their own pace anytime within this period.
Upon successfully passing the qualification, the learner will get an Ofqual Regulated Certificate (Hardcopy) from ATHE Awards, an Ofqual Regulated Awarding Organisation.
